Welcome to Down by the Liffey Gallery, Lincoln's very own award-winning community art space! Tucked away inside the beautiful, historic 1911 Coronation Library building, we serve as a vibrant creative hub that celebrates the incredible artistic talent thriving right here in Canterbury and the wider South Island.
Run entirely by a passionate committee of local volunteers, we believe that art should be accessible, inspiring, and a core part of community life.
Whether you want to browse the latest exhibition, volunteer a few hours a month to staff the desk, or submit your own artwork for consideration, our doors are wide open.
Visit Us: Find us right next to the water at 1 James Street, Lincoln. We are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am – 4pm. admission is entirely free!
