Lincoln Community and Residents Association

We are a non-profit, entirely community-led organisation dedicated to representing the interests, voices, and vibrant spirit of everyone living in the township of Lincoln, within the Selwyn District. Our team is made up of passionate local volunteers who care deeply about the wellbeing, day-to-day liveability, and future development of our beautiful town.

Founded on the core principles of inclusivity, transparency, and constructive dialogue, the LCRA exists to give you—our residents—a strong, unified voice on the local matters that impact our everyday lives. Whether you have lived in Lincoln for decades or have just moved into one of our newer neighbourhoods, we are here to make sure your voice is heard.

What We Do For Our Town

As a Residents’ Association, we actively work on a wide range of initiatives designed to support, connect, and enhance our community. Our focus generally falls into three key areas:

• Advocacy & Representation: We act as your direct line to local government. We regularly represent community views to the Selwyn District Council and other public authorities. From submitting formal feedback on district policies and zoning planning to advocating for better infrastructure, safer roads, and improved public services, we work hard to ensure Lincoln experiences smart, sustainable growth.
• Community Engagement & Connection: Keeping our town connected is at the heart of what we do. We host regular public meetings, community forums, and local events to encourage open discussion and gather your input. We also work to keep everyone in the loop by publishing the local Lincoln Community Newsletter and managing active social media channels and local networks.
• Environment & Liveability: We love Lincoln's unique rural-urban character, and we want to protect it. Our team proudly supports projects that enhance our local parks, scenic walkways, cycle paths, and green spaces, ensuring our town remains a beautiful, healthy, and vibrant place to live and play.

• Join the Committee: Want to take a more active role? Join our committee to help lead, plan, or support specific local projects and initiatives that make a tangible difference in Lincoln.
• Become a Sponsor: If you run a local business or simply want to give back, you can support our work through donations or by advertising with us in our community newsletter.
